Polar bears!!

Hi readers this week for writing we learnt how to write information reports.We wrote about polar bears here is my work.


This is a information report about Polar bears. Polar bears are the largest land carnivore. Here below are some true facts about this amazing animal.


Is it dangerous to be a Polar bear? Yes Polar bears have dangers like orcas,adult Polar bears,avalanches and breaking ice. Breaking ice is mainly caused by global warming. Some humans hunt and kill Polar bears fur there fur. Adult seals use breathing. So when a Polar bear cub gets too close to a breathing hole the adult seal will pop up and kill the cub. Adult male Polar bears will kill cubs. When a cub is playing and gets too close to an adult male polar bear's territory.


Do you know what a Polar bear looks like? Polar bears have fur and lots of it,it’s fur is transparent and hollow it looks white because it reflects all color wavelengths. Their skin is black.They have up to ¾ layers of fat. They have a skinny skull and neck.Their paws have fur all over and the paws have sharp claws at the front of the paw.


Ever imagined the life of a Polar bear? In spring a pregnant female Polar bear will dig a barrow in sloped snow.The female will wait till it gives birth to it’s cubs,then the cubs will feed on its mother's milk for several weeks. Then they will go out of the barrow and the mother will hunt for her own food. After that the mother will teach it’s cubs to hunt but most cubs will died before they can use these skills.


Do you know where Polar bears live? Polar bears live in the Arctic which is part of Russia, the U.S.A,Greenland and Canada. Most of the arctic is made of ice and snow on the edge of the Arctic there are trees.
