Hey readers this is my favorite memory/highlight of primary school!
My favourite memory of my time at Wigram School was the school camp. The camp was at Waipara Adventure Centre, I will now share with you some of my experiences at camp. We all climbed into the bus and we were away. This was my first school camp. My Dad was one of my group leaders. Almost all of the year 5s and 6s were coming to camp.
We arrived at camp. The bus jolted to a stop. Everywhere there was greenery. There were cabins, a hall, kitchen and courtyard. The ground was sloped and steep.
The hall was our main meeting place before any activity, this included where we ate. In the evenings we had different activities, which included mini olympics, that had a toilet paper competition in it, we also had a quiz night. The parents won but they got disqualified for some reason.
We did lots of different activities outside like archery, going on the waterslide, riding the giant swing and doing orienteering. Archery was my favorite activity, We got lots of turns at it, but I got the only bullseye in all of camp.
The end of camp arrived, we all climbed back on the bus excited and tired. After we got back to school I felt extremely lucky to have gone to camp and I am sure the next year 5 and 6 camp will have a blast as well. I have mixed feelings about leaving Wigram but i am looking forward to my new school next year.
